January 10 and Ongoing – CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Training. CASA volunteers make a life-changing difference for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. These volunteers help judges develop a fuller picture of each child’s life. Their advocacy enables judges to make the most well-informed decision for each child. January 17 – Martin Luther King Holiday and Day of Service. Indivisible North Curry County will be sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Common Good in Port Orford. Volunteers will be in front of Ray’s Market on Hwy 101 from 11:00 until 5:00 pm to receive donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and money.
January 19 – SOCAN (Southern Oregon Climate Action Network) currently being held via Zoom at 5:25 pm, the third Wednesday of every month. On the 19th, SOCAN will be screening the documentary, “Kiss the Ground,” which features Woody Harrelson narrating the value in regenerating soils.
